The Ceremony
The second annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards was held on Australia’s Gold Coast on November 11, 2008. On this night, nominees and international screen industry guests gathered to honour the outstanding works of the Asia-Pacific. The awards preceded two major film events on the Gold Coast, the opening of the Screen Producers Association of Australia SPAA Conference (Sheraton Mirage, November 12-14, 2008) and the Inside Film People’s Choice Awards of Australian film (Crown Plaza Royal Pines Resort, November 13, 2008).
The APSA ceremony was staged at the award-winning Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Nominees stayed at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, a 5-star integrated resort located in the heart of the Gold Coast, only a few minutes walk from beautiful Surfers Paradise beach, shopping and entertainment.
