Martin Hampel is a German film producer who began as the line producer on noteworthy films like Paul Verhoeven’s Academy Awards®-nominated Elle, Bruno Dumont’s Slack Bay, Olivier Assayas’ Clouds of Sils Maria, which all played the Cannes Film Festival. He has since worked on several APSA-nominated films. In 2015 he was line producer on Naomi Kawase’s Sweet Bean, an APSA winner for Best Performance by an Actress, and produced Ayka, an APSA nominee for the same category. He has also been nominated for producing two Cultural Diversity Award under the patronage of UNESCO nominees, Centaur in 2017 and It Must Be Heaven in 2019 from renowned Palestinian director Elia Suleiman, which was awarded a special mention at the Cannes Film Festival.
