APSA was founded under the auspices of UNESCO’s 2005 Convention to protect and promote the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, sharing in the mandate to promote the “fruitful diversity of cultures” and the “free flow of ideas by word and image”.
Over ten years later, in an increasingly interconnected world, how can individuals and communities have freer and more immediate access to a rich diversity of cultural expressions?
Drawing on their unique perspectives and combined decades of filmmaking experience, this esteemed panel will explore cultural diversity and freedom of expression in the Asia Pacific.
