Philippe Martin founded Les Films Pelléas in 1990. The Hachette Foundation awarded him the first Young Producer Grant and six years later he received the Georges de Beauregard Award for Young Producer of the Year. David Thion has been his partner in the company for 20 years. They have produced over a hundred feature films and documentaries (by Pierre Salvadori, Mia Hansen-Løve, Justine Triet, Christophe Honoré, Annie Ernaux, Arthur Harari and more). Justine Triet’s film Anatomy of a Fall won the Palme d’Or at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, an Oscar, a BAFTA, two Golden Globes, and six César Awards. Two years later, It Was Just an Accident received the Palme d’Or and was selected to represent France at the Oscars.
