The Asia Pacific Screen Awards is the region’s highest accolade in film, honoring filmmaking that best reflects its cultural origins and the visionary storytellers who showcase the richness and diversity of the Asia Pacific. Drawn from a region that encompasses 78 countries and areas, and produces half of the world’s films, APSA celebrates cultural diversity and cinematic excellence.

The 16th Asia Pacific Screen Awards serve as the centerpiece of the annual Asia Pacific Screen Forum, taking place on the Gold Coast from 1-4 November. This four-day global conversation brings together critically acclaimed filmmakers and industry thought leaders. Together, they engage in stimulating discussions and presentations, delving into the issues and topics shaping our region’s film industry.

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
