Actor, writer, theatre director, producer and university professor Georges Khabbaz has been creating plays, TV series, and movies for 27 years now. In addition, he is a poet and a composer of many songs and music pieces. He is passionate about tackling humanistic topics to make a change and contribute to the application of the human rights principles. His signature works include his movie Ghadi and other films like Under the Bombs, Silina, Perfect Strangers and Yunan; his TV series including Abdo & Abdo and Brando Al Sharek; and more than 18 theatre plays he wrote, directed, produced, and played the main role in. He launched his first music album “Jayi Al Iyam” at his preferred music festival, Al Boustan, in March 2023. He worked for 10 years with Acsauvel students in 10 different plays.

He has been honoured on multiple occasions. Aside from winning film, TV and theatre awards, he received an Honorary Doctorate from USEK as well as the Order of the Cedar from the Lebanese Presidency. Most recently, he was awarded the Lebanese Order of Merit by President Joseph Aoun in recognition of his talent, which seamlessly blends refined artistry with a deeply committed cultural message.
