Hussain is a film programmer, director and producer. He has programmed international film, documentaries and interactive experiences for the Sundance Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Nordisk Panorama and some of the biggest film festivals in Australia. Hussain was born in Canada, and has spent time living and working in Australia, Japan, the USA, the Middle East, and Europe. After graduating from the Victorian College of Art in 2002 he wrote and directed several short films, many of which have played at international film festivals. His latest collaboration with Burning Torch Productions includes ‘LIGO: The Way The Universe Is, I Think’. He is currently Executive Director of production company Master Mechanic Films. He is based between Sweden and the United States.
