An accomplished actor and poet, Jinpa studied at the Beijing Film Academy. In addition to starring in films, he also has had numerous poems published. For his performance in Zhang Yang’s Soul on a String, he was nominated in Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards (2016) for Best New Performer. His work with director Pema Tseden included Tharlo (2015), Jinpa (2018) and Snow Leopard (2023).

We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
