Lynn Lee and James Leong have spent the last decade making documentaries across Asia. Passabe, their first, was a recipient of a grant from the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund. Their second film, Aki Ra’s Boys, won two international awards and Homeless FC, their third, received the Grand Prize at the Chinese Documentary Festival. In 2012, they finished The Great North Korean Picture Show, which takes audiences on an unprecedented journey inside a film industry like no other. Lynn and James have also made numerous television documentaries, including Nowhere to Go, an investigative piece for Al Jazeera English, which won the First Prize at the 2013 Human Rights Press Awards.
