A Palestinian actress and singer based in Haifa, Mouna Hawa graduated from the Samuel Rubin Music Conservatory and the Beit-Zvi Academy of High Performing Arts.

Mouna has graced various theatre productions and delighted audiences in Dunia and Dandan’s children’s TV show. She is known for her theatre role as Asmahan in Who Killed Asmahan? and she secured the Best Actress award at the Palestinian theatre festival. Mouna also earned the Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film In Between (2016) directed by Maysaloun Hammoud. Her versatile talents extended to appearances in Between Heaven and Earth (2019) by Najwa Najjad and A Gaza Weekend (2022) by Basil Khalil.

Mouna’s latest triumph is her exceptional performance as Nawal in the Jordanian feature film Inshallah a Boy (2023) by Amajd Al Rasheed, which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival and is Jordan’s official entry for the 96th Academy Awards. She was honoured with the Best Actress award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam for her role in this remarkable film.
