Prabath Roshan (born in 1973) began his journey in the Sri Lankan arts industry in 1992 as a camera assistant, later advancing to the role of chief lighting director. His dedication and passion for the craft led him to become a cinematographer at a young age, gaining recognition for his work in television dramas and, eventually, in feature films. Renowned for his creative vision and technical expertise, Roshan is regarded as one of Sri Lanka’s leading cinematographers. His ability to blend visual artistry with emotional storytelling has earned him both national and international acclaim. Today, he continues to contribute to the industry as a cinematographer and producer, helping to elevate Sri Lankan cinema on the global stage.
