A highly experienced senior executive and board member with proven success leading through periods of growth, change and transformation.
Since completing his six year appointment as Managing Director of Trade and Investment Queensland, Rob has continued to focus on trade and investment, with major emphasis on Latin America and Japan. He is now based on the Gold Coast.
In relation to Latin America, he is currently Acting Chair of the federal government’s Council On Australia Latin America Relations, and is Vice Chair- Queensland of the Australia Latin America Business Council.
In 2013, he was awarded a Business Excellence Award by ALABC for his contribution to
business between Australia and Latin America.
Regarding Japan, he is on the Management Committee of the Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Rob also holds memberships in the Australia China Business Council and the Australia
Indonesia Business Council.
He is on the Industry Advisory Board, Department of Business Strategy and Innovation of Griffith Business School, Griffith University, and is a member of the Australian Institute of
Company Directors.
Rob is a member of the Australian Institute of International Affairs, a General Member of AACTA, and is a member of the Asia Arts Society of Australia.
