Yasuhiro Aoki is an animation director based in Tokyo, Japan. He started his career in animation at the Studio Live, and since the 2000s has played an active role at STUDIO4ºC.

Aokiʼs artistic style captivates audiences with fluid, dynamic character animation. His characters, with their streamlined forms, move gracefully across the screen in all directions. Every detail, down to the strands of hair and the tips of fingers and toes, is carefully crafted for beauty, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail.

His works are also distinguished by a striking use of light and shadow, creating images that feel at once nostalgic and transparent. ChaO (2025) marks his directorial debut.
