Yerkebulan Kurishbayev is a producer of QARA Production and a founder of OYU Live and OYU Fest. He has made significant contributions to the music and film industry in Kazakhstan. Since 2015, Yerkebulan has produced music videos for both Kazakhstani and foreign artists, and now he produces author’s and commercial films and plays a vital role in nurturing new local talents. He has collaborated with different foreign productions and his experience brings a diverse perspective and unique creative opportunities to his work. He has produced works including several short films by emerging directors and the debut feature films Zere (2020) and Qas (2022).
The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
