Winner, Achievement in Cinematography, 2010
After graduating from the Film & Television Institute of India, Sudheer Palsane worked as the cinematographer for the Bangladesh set French production The Clay Bird (2002), which won the FIPRESCI prize in the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. Since then, he has worked as a cinematographer for productions from a number of countries and in numerous languages including the Hindi children’s feature Yeh Hai Chakkad Bakkad Bumbe Bo (2003); Hindi drama Aapa Akka (2009); Italian/German documentary co-production Die Jungfrau von Palermo (2005); Marathi language comedy The Wild Bull(2008) starring Atul Kulkarni; and black comedy The Damned Rain (2009) which was selected for the Rotterdam International Film Festival.

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
