Nominated for 2022 Asia Pacific Screen Awards Best Director and Best Performance

A middle-aged director of art house movies who’s in a professional rut and fed up with being treated like a servant by her lazy husband and selfish son. When asked to restore Hong Eun-won’s 1962 melodrama A Woman Judge, Ji-wan begins searching for the director and other women who played key roles in the almost-forgotten film’s creation. A job that pays the rent becomes a magnificent obsession in the new film by leading South Korean female filmmaker Shin Su-won (Cannes prize-winner Circle Line).

Explore cinematic narratives in an exclusive filmmaker Q&A following the screening with Director and Writer Shin Su-Won.
