Akshay Singh is a writer and producer who studied at the United Kingdom’s National Film and Television School. He was awarded the Mohamed S. Farsi Foundation Scholarship for the Arts in 2012. He has written several short films including Mehsampur (2018), which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival. His first feature, which he wrote and produced with Ridham Janve, The Gold-Laden Sheep and The Sacred Mountain (2019), directed by Ridham Janve, screened at festivals including Rotterdam, Mumbai and Hong Kong where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize for assembling a narrative that blends nature and spirituality into an irresistible and immersive flow. He received his first APSA nomination in 2019 as a producer of The Gold-Laden Sheep and The Sacred Mountain.
