Mohsen Tanabandeh is an Iranian cinema and television actor, director and screenwriter who studied acting at University of Art and Architecture. He began acting in 1992 and collaborated with directors in television and cinema. He appeared in the popular television series Paytakht (2014). He was awarded for his performance in Petition For Allah (2008) at Fajr International Film Festival. He is otherwise best known for his performances in 2015’s Iran Burger, a Fajr Film Festival nominee for Best Actor, and 2017’s Ferrari, for which he won Best Actor at the Fajr Film Festival. He also wrote the screenplay for Ghasam, once more nominated at Fajr but this time for Best Screenplay. Rona, Azim’s Mother (2019) is his first APSA nomination.
