Wang Lina is a writer-director from Shaya, Xinjiang Autonomous Region in north western China. Her debut feature is A First Farewell (2018) which screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and won the Crystal Bear for Generation Kplus – Best Film. It also won awards at Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo film festivals and was her first APSA nomination for Best Youth Feature Film.
