Some time after the death of his father, a young boy in rural Iran accidentally overhears his mother’s plans to consider a new husband. Directed by his uncle, he dutifully travels to Tehran with the man who is supposed to become his stepfather so he can witness the sale of the family van for a good price. The journey to the city sees the pair leave their familiar village to encounter and experience the myriad life of the country, both rural and urban, and also forge a relationship with each other.
