Award-winning actor/producer Aleksei Guskov is one of Russia’s biggest stars. With more than forty feature films, thirty theatre roles and many award-winning television productions to his name, he is a household name. As producer he has worked on feature films, television and animated films. In addition to Russian cinema, he has starred in French, German and Italian films. Internationally, Guskov is best known for his lead role in the Golden Globe® nominated The Concert (2009). In 2014 he played Pope John Paul II in Non avere pauraUn’ amicizia con Papa Wojtyla (2014). Guskov has been honoured as a People’s Artist of the Russian Federation by the Russian government, the highest title awarded to performing artists.

We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
