Matriarch of Korean acting, Lee Yeong-Ian, star of film and television, made her feature film debut in 1995 in the award-winning feature A Petal, before starring in the Box Office smash hit and internationally award-winning drama Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004). Adept in many genres, Lee then featured in the romantic comedies Love Exposure (1997) and Romantic Debtors (2010), followed by the highest grossing Korean melodrama of all time, A Werewolf Boy (2012), with more than four million admits in Korea alone. Her most recent roles are in the acclaimed drama Han Gong-ju and End of Winter, winner of the New Currents Award at the 2014 Busan International Film Festival.
