Farmer Arjun’s love and concern for his irrepressible son, Abhimanyu, motivates him to earn the money needed to buy back his ancestral land, lost to debt. Together, they embark on a quest to find work outside the village and visit the holy town of Arjun’s beloved deity so he can pray for divine assistance. But Abhimanyu is on a quest of his own to find his mother who he believes is also looking for him, but who Arjun has not told him has died. Set in the sun-baked farmland of Maharashtra, against the rising toll of suicides amongst poor Indian farmers, The Quest is a heartfelt, stirring tale of love between father and son.
