Yury Raysky graduated as a cinematographer from famed Russian film school VGIK. Since 1980 he has been the photography director of Mosfilm, historically Europe’s oldest and largest film studio. In 1993 he co-founded the Association of Russian Cinematographers (ARCO). Raysky has been director of photography on many Russian films including the collaboration with Orda director Andrei Proshkin, Minnesota (2009)
