3rd Asia Pacific Screen Forum, 11-16 November 2021
The Asia Pacific Screen Forum will inspire new connections and models of filmmaking under the theme The Influence of Production on Story. This topic will be explored through a series panel discussion and interactive case studies. The forum will also feature in-conversations, screenings, roundtable discussions and one-on-one meetings and mentorships across Asia Pacific.
Get your first look at this year’s Asia Pacific Screen Forum, featuring: Palme d’Or and APSA Best Film winner Apitchatpong Weerasethakul (Thailand), In Conversation with APSA FIAPF Award winning producer at the forefront of the Thai independent cinema movement, Soros Sukhum (Thailand), a Masterclass with Jeremy Chua (Singapore), plus a stacked global line-up for the popular Meet the Programmers session, and global personalised networking.
The Forum and 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be presented as both physical, and globally streamed events at/from HOTA (Home of the Arts, Gold Coast).
Due to ongoing Covid restrictions in Australia and abroad, promoted talent will appear virtually. In person events held at HOTA, Home of the Arts include industry networking and refreshments.
The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and emerging. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
