Song Kang-ho is a Korean acting superstar with an award-winning career spanning a diverse range of roles and four Korean Grand Bell Awards to his name. He rose to cult-level status for his part in the gangster comedy No. 3 (1997), and his role as a North Korean sergeant in box office smash J.S.A Joint Security Area (2000), which made him a household name. Song’s most memorable roles include Bong Joon-ho’s The Host (2006), Lee Chang-dong’s APSA Best Feature Film winner Secret Sunshine (2007), APSA-nominated The Good, The Bad, The Weird (2008) and box office hit historical drama The Face Reader (2013), which won six Grand Bell Awards, including Song’s fourth Best Actor Award.
