Kirin Kiki is a revered Japanese actress with over 100 film and television credits. Winner of two Japanese Academy Awards for Best Actress for films Tokyo Tower: Mom and Me, and Sometimes Dad (2011) and Chronicles of my Mother (2011) and over a dozen Best Supporting Actress awards in Japan and internationally, Kiki has received two high national honours from the Japanese government. A collaborator with Japanese auteur and APSA Academy member Hirokazu Koreeda on the films Our Little Sister (2015) Like Father, Like Son (2013) I Wish (2011) and Still Walking (2008), Kiki is widely known for her role in Studio Ghibli’s The Secret World of Arietty (2010).
